■ 7th World Water Forum

From 12 to 17 April 2015, Daegu & Gyeongbuk (South Korea)


INBO calls its Members and Observers to get mobilized to come to present their solutions, to exchange and discuss in order to develop and improve basin management and transboundary cooperation in the world during the 7th World Water Forum in Daegu Gyeongbuk.

INBO, jointly with OECD, UNESCO and UNECE, is especially getting involved, in partnership with all the other interested organizations, in the Forum topics addressing adaptation to climate change, cooperation to reduce conflicts and improve transboundary water management, governance as well as several regional processes.

Our ideas are progressing, let’s get mobilized to make our solutions known in South Korea in April 2015!

   OECD Initiative on Water Governance

The OECD Initiative on Water Governance relies on an international multi-stakeholders network of approximately 100 representatives of the public, private and non profit sectors, who gather twice a year in a Forum of Public Policies in order to share the experiments of ongoing reforms, projects and good practices to support better governance in the water sector.

INBO and UNESCO are jointly facilitating Working Group 3 (WG3) on basin governance.

   UNECE Water Convention

The Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE Water Convention) was adopted on 17 March 1992 in Helsinki: It is an international framework agreement on transboundary freshwater initially addressing Europe. The Convention is now open for ratification by all countries in the World.
