3^rd WORLD WATER FORUM 16 - 23 MARCH 2003

Dear Friend,

Following the Forums in Marrakech in 1997 and in The Hague in 2000, the World Water Community will meet again in Kyoto, from 16 to 23 March 2003, to study the progress made since the Conferences of Paris (March 1998) and Bonn (December 2001) and the World Summit on Sustainable Development of Johannesburg in August 2002.

The aim is to prevent that mankind suffers from " water stress " around 2025 !

Debate : " How to organize the participation of water users in Basin Committees?" in partnership with the International Water Secretariat (IWS) of Montreal.
Program - Participation of the users (140Ko) in sustainable water resources management

n ON WEDNESDAY 19 MARCH IN OSAKA (registration form N° 3 )

" Osaka International Convention Center " : 15 : 30 - 18 : 15 during the session on " Water & Information "

Presentation : " The Euro-Mediterranean Water Information and Documentation Center (EMWIS), 27 countries exchange their data" at the initiative of the Technical Unit and all the National Focal Points of EMWIS.

at OTSU Prince Hotel : 12 : 30 - 15 : 15 - OHMI Room - River Stream 2 on the topic " Integrated Water Resource and River Basin Management "

Official Session : "Progress in water management at the level of river basins over the world" with the participation of all the attending members of the International Network of Basin Organizations.
