This document has gathered together a wide range of experiences, in order to illustrate the different stages in the development of a basin-wide adaptation strategy with concrete examples and thus provide recommendations to be taken into account in similar future efforts. It complements the 2009 Guidelines by describing experiences at different stages of the adaptation process.
