The 22nd International EURO-INBO Conference, held in Parma from 19 to 23 May, was organised by the INBO with the Po Basin Authority, on the invitation of the City of Parma and the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE), in partnership with the French Biodiversity Office (OFB) and UNESCO.
Bringing together 220 participants from 37 countries, the event featured thematic sessions, interactive workshops and high-level exchanges. This 2025 edition highlighted the major current challenges of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) at the level of river basins, with a particular focus on integrating water, energy, food and ecosystems in the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) at both national and transboundary levels.
