The project in brief

The fourth phase of the project aims to achieve proper planning of water resources, improve existing information systems and develop sustainable financing mechanisms, which will result in governance based on integrated and comprehensive management of water resources.

OiEau’s missions

• Training the leaders of the Rio Portoviejo, Rio Chone and Rio Jipijapa basin councils; 
• Supporting the Rio Portoviejo basin planning process;
• Developing joint knowledge of integrated water resource management in the Manabí Hydrographic Demarcation (DH);
• Contributing to the structuring and implementation of the RIo Portoviejo Water Fund project.
