INBO, the Flemish Environment Agency (VMM) and the Wallonia Public Service for Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment (SPW ARNE) will organise the 23rd EURO-INBO International Conference, to be held in Brussels (Belgium) from Tuesday 25 May to Friday 28 May 2027.

Focusing on the implementation of the European Union (EU) Water Framework Directive in national and transboundary river basins, the interactive workshops and plenary sessions will address a wide range of issues: nature-based solutions, data management, tackling emerging pollutants, water demand management, adaptation to climate change, the role of river basin organisations in crisis prevention and management, water security and European sovereignty…
This conference will bring together representatives from EU Member States, national and regional administrations, national and transboundary river basin organisations and, more broadly, stakeholders involved in river basin management and the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and its ‘sister directives’, as well as other related policies, directives and regulations. As the conference also aims to encourage peer-to-peer exchanges, it is open to delegates from EU candidate countries and countries in Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Caucasus and Central Asia who are interested in the EU’s policies, tools and methodologies for planning Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) at the river basin level.
Simultaneous interpreting will be available in French and English.
