On the occasion of the 2026 World Basin Summit, discover INBO Newsletter No. 33!
This issue highlights the dynamism of the network and the ongoing commitment of its members to promoting integrated water resources management at the river basin level. You will find the latest news from the network as well as articles illustrating the three main priorities for action adopted in INBO’s strategy: adaptation to climate change, strengthening the links between water management and biodiversity conservation, and the development of transboundary cooperation.
Around the world, river basin organisations are continuing their efforts to foster dialogue among water stakeholders, improve resource sharing and develop sustainable solutions based on knowledge, governance, planning and appropriate financing mechanisms.
Regardless of geography or region, river basin organisations strive to foster dialogue and improve the sharing of water resources, drawing on the tools at their disposal: shared knowledge and governance, planning, and sustainable financing systems.
Dr Eric TARDIEU, INBO Secretary General
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all our members and partners for their contributions to this latest edition and for their ongoing commitment to international water cooperation.
This issue is published in the three official languages of INBO (French, English and Spanish) and in Brazilian Portuguese.
