The Peer-to-Peer project is entering its operational phase with the launch of 22 pairings bringing together organisations from all continents to build capacity in integrated water resources management (IWRM).
These partnerships bring together national and transboundary basin organisations, national water resource management authorities in Africa, Latin America, Europe and Asia, as well as civil society organisations and scientific and technical partners. They strengthen cooperation and experience sharing to develop their IWRM skills at the basin level.
Each pairing focuses on one or more pillars of Integrated Water Resources Management, such as basin management planning, data sharing and water information systems (WIS), stakeholder participation, financing mechanisms, legal and institutional frameworks, or even other IWRM issues such as adaptation to climate change, nature-based solutions, flooding, etc.
